Well, it has been well over a month since I've been on here and I am planning on posting newer pictures (finally!) of our little family. Basically, life is the same... BUSY! I start my second semester of nursing school on Thursday and Wayne starts his second semester of graduate school next Friday. It's hard to work out schedules right now with a 14.5 month old, but we are making it work and Wayne and I will graduate within 2 months of each other so that will be nice. We just have to keep remembering that it will end one day!
Ryder is quite the little walker now. He's starting to try and run, but luckily hasn't gotten there yet. He now says "kitty" (TT), "Jesus" (suss), and can sign "bath" along with "eat" now. He does have a lot to say most of the time and we just agree with him =o). He can FINALLY climb down the stairs and is trying to figure out how to climb onto stuff (which I am DREADING!). He pushes his high chair and other chairs around. He LOVES his cat George and she's starting to love him back and also his dog Sammie - Sammie loves everyone! She is so the Doug the dog on the movie "UP". His new favorite movie is Elmo's greatest hits and Little Tikes land. He got very spoiled on Christmas but not from us... His grandparents took care of that and we anticipated it so we got him bubbles (which incidently I found out he is afraid of .... go figure) and some Christmas PJ's. But he was throwing up on Christmas Eve and was so exhausted after being at Warnock's that we didn't even get him in his Christmas PJ's. He went straight to bed in his 3rd outfit of the day...=o). The thing that sucks is I realized I videotaped all of Christmas and didn't take actual pictures so I don't have any of those to post...
Well, things are going well and we are loving being parents! I actually saw on facebook that someone is pregnant with twins and I got jealous! Isn't that crazy? I think I am just so afraid of not having anymore that that would be a dream come true for me in the future. I guess we'll see what the future holds for us... In the meantime we are truly blessed to have our little angel and are grateful for him everyday! Even if he is clingy and onery I wouldn't trade being a mom for anything!

We drove with my mom to Boise, Idaho and back (yes- in one day) to meet my sister Stacy, her boyfriend Chad, and their little guy Steven. They had never seen Ryder so I wanted to jump at the chance for them to see him. Steven is such a cute little guy! Ryder loved him!

So this is how this night went - the night before I tried to feed Ryder applesauce which he has previously tried. He cried! So then I got out carrots which aren't his favorite but he'll eat them- cried again! Then I got out one of his very favorites- prunes (don't ask me why)- wouldn't eat them. So I told Wayne that I thought his sweet & sour taste buds have finally developed fully and he's being picky. So I put those 3 bottles of baby food in the fridge and fed him plain cereal with milk which he was fine with. So the next night in these pictures I was getting ready to try the leftover baby food once again and gave him his spoon to hold on to while I was warming up the baby food in the microwave. Well once it was warm I took the spoon from him to stir it and he screamed bloody murder! So I gave him his own spoon to hold while I fed him with the other one. As you can see he thought he needed to feed himself as well and got both the carrots & prunes (which he now eats again) all over himself! I'm thinking he's going to be Mr. Independent... what do you think?
OH THE TOES - APRIL 6, 2009
In the last couple of weeks he's really found his toes and tries to grab them at all times- especially when I change his diaper or clothes. It makes it quite difficult to put a diaper or pants on him when you have to take his toes from him!
5 MONTHS OLD ALREADY?!! - MARCH 28, 2009
I try and take a picture everytime he hits another month and I cannot believe how fast time has gone! I used to count just how many weeks old he was and now I've had to revert to months! I can't believe he's almost been with us for half a year! He sure is a smiley boy! He gets really excited when he is in his jumperoo and you say his name! He sucks his breath and squeals and then jumps like crazy! I sure love this kid!

I've never been able to wrap him up this tight since he was a newborn! He used to loved to be wrapped up but now he wants his arms out! He just looked so cute we had to snap a picture. As you can tell, he was super tired and ready for bed!

So here' the scoop- Wayne took a final for his block class this semester so Ryder and I decided to make him a lemon pound cake to show how proud we were. Apparently I didn't grease the bundt pan enough because it stuck as I was trying to invert it and totally fell apart. Wayne thought it was hilarious although I felt bad that I ruined it. He still ate what he could because he LOVES lemon...
